We'll explore tools and methods for hand drawn maps using coastlines, rivers, and mountains as examples. Bring your own subject idea, or use one of ours. We'll cover transfer methods, dip pens & inks, Micron pens, graphite pencils (great for shaded relief), and watercolor. Bring home a finished map, or use the time to make vignettes exploring different methods. Participants' fees cover a packable take-home kit of pencils, pens, and watercolor set. A fun, relaxing way to wrap up another fab NACIS conference. Registration fee includes art supplies for use in workshop and take home.
